Six things you can expect from me
Before any CV, what decides whether therapy works is how you feel in the room. This is what I try to make the air in mine.

Active listening, calm and respect
Whatever you bring, it can be said here. There is no subject too small and no subject that cannot be talked about.

I do not take sides
In couples therapy I am not on either side. I am on the side of what each of you needs to be able to say.

I do not work to save the relationship
I work so that you are both well. Almost always that means understanding each other better; sometimes it means separating well. I do not push either way.

A structured plan, but one that adapts
I suggest an outline based on my experience and we adjust it together. It is neither a closed protocol nor loose sessions with no direction.

You set the pace
I will not tell you how many sessions you will need, because I would be making it up. We agree some goals, and the decision to carry on or to stop is always yours.

Confidentiality
I am registered and I follow the Code of Ethics of the Col·legi Oficial de Psicologia de Catalunya, which requires professional confidentiality of me, as does data protection law.

I work from the contextual therapies and use the other two according to what each person brings, not as a label.

How I got here
I specialised in couples therapy and in sex therapy, and I also see people individually. What comes up most in the consulting room is communication, desire, break-ups and dependency. Over the years I have built a flexible approach that adapts to the person in front of me, not the other way round.
I have worked with many people who felt lost or worn out by their relationships. And my own path has put dependency and grief in front of me, so when I say I understand what you are talking about it is not a line from a textbook.
In session you will find me calm, listening, and not telling you what to do with your life.

What people usually ask before writing
Are you registered?
Yes. I am a psychologist registered under number 31755 with the Col·legi Oficial de Psicologia de Catalunya, and you can check it in their public register.
Do you only see couples?
No. I see couples and also individuals, in one-to-one therapy. Many processes start as a couple and continue individually, or the other way round.
Do we both have to come to the first session?
In couples therapy the usual thing is to start together, but it can be discussed. If your partner is not sure yet, the introductory call is there for that too.
What if I feel we are not a good fit?
You tell me and that is that. The first call is free and without commitment precisely for this: there is no point starting a process if you do not feel comfortable.
